This simple preparation of Brussels sprouts brings out their natural sweetness when slightly caramelized. We love to pair these with roasted or braised proteins!

Thyme And Bone Broth Braised Brussels Sprouts Recipe

Serves 4 to 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 shallots, sliced
  • 1 lb (450 g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Chicken Bone Broth
  • 1½ tsp (1 g) chopped fresh thyme or ½ tsp dried
  • ¼ tsp sea salt, we recommend Selina Naturally Celtic
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground pepper

Directions:

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shallots and Brussels sprouts and cook, stirring often, until the shallots start to brown and the Brussels sprouts are browned in spots, 2 to 4 minutes. Stir in the broth, thyme, salt and pepper. Cover and reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook until the Brussels sprouts are tender, 10 to 15 minutes
