Ahnu was created to bring the fitness world products that are perfect for multitasking, taking you from multiple workouts to everyday errands and activities. Their new YogaSport collection builds on that premise, bringing you one pair of shoes that can handle multiple workouts, from yoga, to cardio, to strength and flexibility.
Co-founder and vice president of Ahnu, Jacqueline Van Dine, saw the growth of yoga and was looking to bridge the gap in footwear that could transition from yoga to other core fitness classes that are used to cross-train.
“Between the wave of yoga and emergence of hybrid fitness classes as a common offering, we realized there was a major gap in footwear that truly served these blooming fitness categories, which is what got us thinking about creating Ahnu YogaSport,” shares Van Dine. “By tapping into our outdoor roots, as well as our yoga-specific brand integrity, we were able to create footwear that meets the demands of resistance workouts, short runs, yoga or gym workouts by providing supportive stability, integrated flexibility and ultra lightweight comfort.”
To help you make the most of their shoes, Ahnu created a line of workouts, including strength, cardio, flexibility and balance. Available online, you can take advantage of their resistance band and cardio workouts, in addition to a warm-up and cool-down. Van Dine explains that the workouts are ideal for those looking to get a lot out of their workout in only 30 minutes, which is why they created the workouts to be well-rounded.
The Ahnu YogaSport line includes three shoes: Flex Poise and Split.
They were created with a very specific and unique design, including comfort and arch support. “A shorter lacing system offers greater forefoot flexibility to maximize stretching moves, while a centered heel base offers incredible stability for standing poses,” reveals Van Dine.
So if you love yoga and want to add in other workout options—or vice versa—the YogaSport line was created with you in mind. The workouts are free and the shoes range in price from $100-$130. Their multitasking properties helps make them a great value.
