Summer is officially here, which means high temperatures and sweaty workouts have arrived. Apparel companies have keeping you cool during the summer months on their mind when creating new technology for their fabrics—and every year more companies add cooling fabrics to their catalogs.

The Sport Information Resource Centre (SIRC) reports that heat can not only affect your health, but also your comfort and performance. Not only do they recommend drinking plenty of fluids (before you feel thirsty) and running in early morning hours when it is coolest, but they also share, “Wear cooler, porous clothing that allows perspiration to escape and reflect the sun.”
