Led by three-time Olympian and good-vibes dynamo Deena Kastor, this program is a sweet-spot mix of sport, relaxation and fun. The camp is targeted at runners of all levels who want to become more balanced—mentally and physically.

My experience: The groundwork for Kastor’s running success is her positivity—something she believes is a learned trait—and overall wellness. For Kastor, embracing wellness includes eating nutritious foods, drinking wine, having fun times with family and running of course! From the first meet and greet in Mammoth, everyone at the camp felt like old friends, which made the experience all the more rewarding. Highlights included a cooking class led by Kastor, delicious post-run brunches, a sunset uphill race and an insightful session about adding positivity to your life. The end result was a feel-good weekend that left me excited about my goals long after I returned home.

What else you should know: Check your agro attitude at the door—this program isn’t about running fast with a professional. Instead open yourself to celebrating the concept of wellness with a balance of running, stretching, gourmet food and stunning views. If you have the time, stay in Mammoth Sunday evening to enjoy time stand-up paddle boarding on one of the many lakes or lounging poolside.
