We Had A Launch Party And Everyone Showed Up
We decided to kick off our final 2016 issue with a running (duh) party with the Project Start crew, including Candice Huffine.

To kick off our final magazine in 2016—hey, 2017!—we held a launch event to not only celebrate our beautiful cover runner, Candice Huffine, but to also close out our Project Start collaboration with Huffine, and everyone showed up.
The event was hosted at Mile High Run Club on Nov. 10. Attendees included all of the Project Start ambassadors and friends of Women’s Running. On the cold, rainy evening, runners quickly warmed up with a high-energy treadmill class led by Elizabeth Corkum (aka Coach Corky) a 3:05 marathon runner and RRCA-certified running coach.
After the class, Huffine addressed the crowd with a few words about how proud she was of her fellow ambassadors and herself for pushing her own boundaries as a runner: “Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t, including yourself!”
After the workout, everyone raised a glass of champagne to cheers the cover runner and refueled with cheese, fruit and mini donuts. Check out the photos from the event, courtesy of Matt Powers:
