Walk in the door of Skirt Sports’ new headquarters in Boulder, Colorado, and you’re immediately greeted with two brilliant phenomenon: the striking smile of receptionist Mia and the vibrantly painted pink walls. In fact, a powerful pink glow and radiant, smiling staffers (Skirt now employs 11 full-time fitness and fashion fanatics) are the norm throughout every square foot of Skirt Sports’ spacious new digs.
I live a mere ten miles from this Mecca of multi-sport attire, and was thrilled to receive a tour led by none other than Skirt Sports’ founding visionary, Nicole DeBoom. The gals and guys of Skirt Sports switched to the new location – just around the corner from their previous address – between Christmas and New Year’s, and with their never-a-dull-moment approach, all aspects of the company remained in motion during the move. Business as usual is now peppered with unpacking boxes, plotting space for soon-to-arrive furniture and pink-ifying every available surface.
