Cynthia Martinez ran the Boston Marathon last year. This year, for her second go at Boston, she has a big goal: to finish in 3:08. The catch? Due to a labrum tear last year, she is only able to run three days a week to prep.
Training for her eighth marathon, Martinez is sharing her journey through the 12-week process of preparing to toe the line in Hopkinton. In this first video, Martinez shares who she is, where she ran in 2016—four continents!—and her plans for training. Fielding many questions on how to train, what she eats and how she preps for the world’s greatest marathon, Martinez plans to answer all of those questions with this “Running Around The Globe” inside look at how she gets ready for the Boston Marathon.
