Marathon Mania

The fever is spreading! The WR team has a serious case of Marathon Mania and we want to take you on our 26.2-mile journey.

Heading out the door? Read this article on the new Outside+ app available now on iOS devices for members! Download the app.

Our hearts are racing, our cheeks are flushed and we’re feeling a bit weak in the knees. Don’t worry—we got our flu vaccines months ago. What we have is a serious case of Marathon Mania.

WomensRunning.com’s Editor Kara Deschenes and I (WR’s Editor in Chief) just started training for the 2013 Boston Marathon. We want you to follow us on our journey—and to share your own journey, too. Check out my profile (and Kara’s!) to see why we’re running this year. You can come back every day and catch up on our daily workouts and view some cool seen-on-my-run pics.

In the days leading up to Boston (86 to go!), we’ll be hosting Twitter chats to dish on training, nutrition, motivation and all the other stuff you need to make it through 26.2 miles in one piece.

If you’re training for a marathon this year, we want to hear your story too. Email us at editorial@womensrunning.com and you could be featured on the site. Happy running!
