In My Dresser – the Jackie Knicker

There’s no doubt we’re deep into fall here in Northern California, and
the inherent chill and shorter daylight hours the season brings. Lately, my
early morning runs start out in total darkness, and the skies are still foggy-grey
by the time I reach home. And while it’s not yet as cold as it gets here in the
heart of winter, when I swathe my legs in full-length running tights, I’m
thankful for my Jackie Knickers and their lightweight just-below-the-knee
coverage.
The Jackie Knicker is a tried and true favorite from Canadian manufacturer Sugoi. I’m a huge fan
of both the fit and function of this staple from my running gear collection.
The well-styled flat-lock seams do wonders for my rear view, and the behind-the-knee
mesh panels provide ample breathability. The knickers sport a rear zip pocket
which is perfect for an energy gel or two, as well as an interior key or credit
card security pocket. The rise of the Jackie Knicker is just right – low enough
for comfort, yet high enough for backside coverage when I’m sitting in a café sipping
a post-run latte.
