Last year, Smith Optics launched what I believe are some of the finest sport sunglasses ever made. The Pivlock V90 is heavy on function while light on materials – a perfect mix for runs and rides where nearly weightless frame-free design and superior technology is a priority. You can read my original post regarding the Pivlock model here.

New this year, Smith has added the Pivlock ODS2 RX Adaptor, so that athletes needing custom prescription lenses can take full advantage of the Pivlock’s optical prowess. The adaptor snaps easily in place, replacing the standard Pivlock nose piece. The clear RX lens works equally well in combination with any of the three colored lenses that come standard with each Pivlock purchase. Thanks to Smith, athletes with less than perfect vision have access to numerous high-end options in performance optics.
