Hydration To Go

I like to run
unencumbered. But I also like to keep my body well hydrated, and therefore I
need a solution for carrying my sports drink in comfort on the run.
Fuel Belt provides
numerous options for lightweight portable hydration. My latest favorite, the
Sprint Palm Holder, secures a 10-oz bottle in the curve of my hand with a
cushioned adjustable strap. It’s perfect for my one-hour tempo runs, when I
simply need a few good sips to keep me humming along.
The other Fuel Belt
product I couldn’t live (or at least run long) without is the Helium Belt. The
Helium comes in 2-bottle and 4-bottle options, distributing the weight of the
fluids evenly around my torso. I find the Velcro waist closure very much to my
liking, as I can secure the belt just below my waist for a snug fit, free of
any bounce. I’m also a fan of Fuel Belt’s bright color range. Sure, my
hydration belt doesn’t need to be hibiscus pink; but given the option, why not?
I generally wear a
4-bottle Helium Belt for any run over an hour and a half. I also take it along
anytime I run with my dog. That way I can allocate separate bottles for each of
us, in order to spare myself his canine germs and also to satisfy his
preference for straight water over sports drink!
