7 New Running Words Made By Runners For Runners

How do we get this terminology added to the running dictionary?

With words like fartlek to supination, it’s not surprising that people who don’t run think that we speak a crazy made up language all our own. I often find myself struggling to find the perfect word for how beat up, tired, or hungry I feel before, during or after a run. And since we already have dozens of official (and bizarre) running terms, I thought why not add some more! Here are 7 brand new words made by runners for runners.

1. RUNGER

RUNGER

2. RUNCH

3. RUNKLES

4. RUN-NY

5. RUNHOLE

6. RUNVIOUS

7. RUNFIE

Now who do I have to talk to about getting runhole and runfie into the Oxford English Dictionary? Until next time, #RunSelfieRepeat.
