janae summer playlist

Summer running has begun! Whether you are outside pounding out the miles in the heat or inside on the treadmill getting in some of your training runs, I have some new tunes for you to try out. Songs with fast beats help me to finish those last 3 800’s when my legs are fatigued and I’m ready to quit. The lyrics in some of my favorite running songs can give me that extra boost that I need. There are songs that come on during my run that fill my mind up with good memories. A great playlist keeps me entertained on the treadmill and of course when my favorite ones come on, I sing them out loud while I am running. I love to run the first few miles without music so that I can hear my footsteps while focusing on my breathing and form. After those miles I put my earphones in and soak in my favorite tunes! I wanted to share with you some of my favorite running songs of this summer:

Say Geronimo by A Single Pill
Fight Song by Rachel Platten
Bad Blood by Taylor Swift
Polaroid by Imagine Dragons
Shut Up and Dance by WALK THE MOON
Let Your Heart Go by T.I.
Hey Mama by David Guetta
Trouble by Iggy Azalea
Monster by Timeflies

Carry You Home by Zara Larsson
Friction by Imagine Dragons
Beautiful Now by Zedd
Beating Me Up by Rachel Platten
Leave Me Alone (I’m Lonely) by Pink
My Body by Young the Giant

I Bet My Life by Imagine Dragons
Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars (I just have a huge crush on him.)

I Really Like You by Carly Rae Jepsen

P.S. Remember you can always use Garage Band to speed up your music if you love to run to fast songs. Here is a great tutorial on how to do so!

Happy running! Enjoy the sunshine, sweat and endorphins that come along with your summer miles!
