I’ve written previously about the original Road ID – the sport-styled safety wristband containing customized emergency contact information. This year, Road ID has done one better for runners, offering the Shoe Pouch ID which attaches easily to shoelaces with a 3M reflective Velcro strap. The pouch itself is made of water-resistant ripstop nylon and is large enough to hold a key, a credit card or a bit of cash. The ID tag can be linked to an online Emergency Response Profile, allowing first responders fast access to critical contact and medical information. I suggest stuffing a Shoe Pouch ID in every runner’s Christmas stocking!
