Grammy award winning country artist Carrie Underwood gained more fans after launching her active lifestyle apparel, Calia, to the public on March 4. Available exclusively at Dick’s Sporting Goods, the clothing line aims to blend together an active women’s need for functional attire and desire to showcase personality through the sophisticated design, look and feel of the clothing.

“The inspiration for this line came from my desire to have clothes that seamlessly take me from workouts, to errands, to rehearsals and beyond,” says Underwood. “As someone who is passionate about health and fitness, I’m excited to offer women a wardrobe that will move with them and encourage them to stay the path of leading an active lifestyle.”

Underwood and her designers definitely accomplished both of the objectives: functionality and flattery. Calia also gets bonus points for friendly price points, which are comparable to other names in the running market. I had a chance to try a handful of items from her newly launched line, and was pleasantly satisfied with my on-the-run and on-the-go experience. I’ll be the first to say that I’m not a huge fashionista (aka, I never match), but this brand made me excited to dress up my run a bit more.
