This annual event celebrates the famous numeral 3.1415. To expand upon the already established monthly jaunts that Pearl Izumi hosts in Louisville, Colo., the brand will now sponsor these “PI” runs at more than 60 locations nationwide.
On the days surrounding 3/14, locations all over the country will host organized run events aimed to get runners of all disciplines outside, staying active and engaging with their local communities. All Pearl Izumi hosted events will have T-shirts and raffle prizes for participants.
“In Louisville, at our Pearl Izumi headquarters, we will be hosting a lunchtime fun run, running 3.1415 miles from our office and then finishing with a celebration featuring apple pie,” said Pearl Izumi run marketing manager Emelie Ortiz. “The creativity and unique event ideas that our Champion Team have come up with across the country to celebrate Pi Day with their local running communities is so inspiring! I am excited that Pi Day is able to rally together such passionate people from across the country to share their love for running.
