The Olympic Trials event at Hayward Field is more than just a track meet where you watch thousands compete on the track and field for a spot on Team USA (although that in itself is already enough to induce FOMO if you’re not there). The entire operation takes over the stadium and surrounding areas—officials literally bring in extra stands to accommodate the crowds. In addition, the Fan Festival, which sits behind the main west stands, is going to be hopping with music, TVs, drinks, food, activities, apparel, photo ops and more during the duration of competition. We got to sneak in ahead of tomorrow’s crowds to snap a few photos:
