Olympic Bronze Medalist and American record holder in the marathon Deena Kastor is giving fellow runners a glimpse into the life of an elite athlete. Kastor is will host the first annual Escape To Mammoth running retreat weekend from September 10-13 at the Westin Monache Hotel in Mammoth Lakes, Calif.

Kastor is passionate about the Mammoth Lakes region, one she has called home for 15 years. During the retreat, her goal is to help fellow runners reach their running goals while treating them to the beauty of the area.

The all-inclusive weekend promises to have varied and fun events, with a focus on training, mental strength and amazing food. Runners will get to explore local trails in between daily motivational and coaching sessions. Kastor is also an avid chef and will be treating guests to exclusive cooking demos. Though we would be most excited by the final day of the retreat, which will include a leisure run to the top of Mammoth Mountain followed by a champagne brunch and scenic gondola ride.

The best part—there are still a few spots left to attend. You can register on the website—you can’t possibly miss this unique weekend.
