IStock_000003547214XSmall Hit the mat during Yogapalooza on Saturday, June 27, and help cancer survivors. Held in Atlanta, San Francisco, NYC, Washington, DC, Austin and Cleveland, Yogapalooza four- or five-hour workshops cost $25 and benefit YogaBear, a non-profit that provides cancer survivors with free yoga classes and health and wellness support. Studies, including this one published in the journal Cancer Control, have found gentle yoga may help cancer survivors reduce stress and fatigue and improve sleep patterns, among other benefits.

Each workshop includes a series of beginner-friendly classes taught by local yoga instructors; some programs also feature a silent auction of yoga goodies from companies including Gaiam and Hyde.
