Remember a time before Fitbits, Strava or wireless headphones? I know…we shudder at the thought. It’s inevitable that the next huge thing in the space is yet to come, but what will change the face of health and fitness in 2017 and beyond? The FounderMade Future of Wellness Challenge aims to find out. This contest connects up-and-coming brands with leaders in their industry. After vetting loads of entries, FounderMade found 11 semifinalists, all unique and interesting companies looking to push the boundaries in the space.

The semifinalists listed below are set to be whittled down to only three finalists who will pitch their companies Shark Tank-style on stage at Foundermade Wellness: Creating the Halo Effect by Integrity Square hosted in Los Angeles on Oct. 23, 2016. . These potential game-changers will have the opportunity to win a cash prize and mentorship to further their business objectives. Who do you think will make the cut? 1. Broisse & Company

This innovative makeup solutions company creates a product they call The Brushey, which provides an innovative solution for artists looking to clean brushes in a faster, more hygienic and chicer way.

2. Affirmats

The aptly named brand creates lovely yoga mats with affirmations emblazoned on the back, an idea that the founder developed while he was in savasana!

3. Genneve

Delivering a spunky, up-beat message and innovative solution to answer the problem of vaginal dryness. As the founder would say, “Yup, I said vaginal dryness!”

4. Slumbr

You’ll spend hundreds of dollars on a mattress, but pillows are often an afterthought. Slumbr hopes to change this with high-quality pillows for every sort of sleeper.

 

5. The Riveter

This co-work space believes women are stronger when we support one another. That’s why they developed the only women’s-specific office space in Seattle focused on exchanging resources and creating a holistic health experience.

 

6. B-Wom

Think incontinence is normal? It doesn’t have to be! B-Wom is a customized app for women to assist with personalized intimate health solutions.

7. Handstand

Need a little guidance when it comes to cross-training? The Handstand app offers personal trainers on-demand–anytime and anywhere—with just a few taps!

8. Niyama

Artisan crafted in limited batches, Niyama offers homeopathic remedies to improve mindfulness, self-awareness and overall health.

9. Elm

Created by two millennial women trying to find their path after college, this platform offers instructional videos on everything you didn’t learn in school. Think: dating, dealing with depression and finding meaningful work.

10. Somadome

Meditation can be easier said than executed. Soma Dome aims to make the experience easier and more effective with physical domes that come with guided sessions to help you find inner peace.

11. Sesh

It’s a like a life coach in your pocket. Meet individuals who can help you to navigate your emotions, goals, habits and relationships in one friendly and bright community.
