Nearly 24,000 runners took a tour of our nation’s capital during the Rock ‘n’ Roll D.C. Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K this past weekend. Racers were lucky enough to experience near perfect conditions as they passed by the monuments surrounding the National Mall.
Twenty-four-year-old Bethany Sachtleben, of Manassas, Va., won the half marathon in 1:19:45, while Washington D.C. native Martha Nelson won the marathon in 2:58:09.
