Photos From Lululemon’s Seawheeze Half Are Gorgeous

Spoiler alert: ocean views, insane medals and 10,000 runners doing yoga.

Every summer, Lululemon throws a massive running festival in the brand’s backyard of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. With the tagline “run, yoga, party” the Seawheeze Half Marathon is part-race, part-insane om-infused carnival. The two-day event kicks off with an expo, where runners can get their hair braided, beards trimmed, shoulders (temporarily) tattooed and Lululemon addiction soothed through an afternoon of shopping for exclusive gear. If you couldn’t make it north this year, feel free to live vicariously through these fomo-inducing photos.

The race’s expo is held on the Emerald City’s waterfront where opps abound. How beautiful is Vancouver??

Runners line up early (and by “early,” we mean 15 hours before the doors open) for the opportunity to shop for Seawheeze-specific gear, sold only at the convention center.

Once inside the center’s doors, madness ensues as runners rake through the gear to grab styles in their sizes. Shoppers are limited to 15 pieces each.

Any many people meet their quota!

Outside the expo, runners get ready for race day. Who needs a shave?

Or a temporary tatoo?

Or perhaps a meditation garden is more your thing?

To loosen up, runners gather for an hour-long yoga session. This year, aromatherapy kits from Saje were delivered to everyone’s mats during savasana (and we were into that).

After a good night’s sleep, the time came for race morning! After another mini yoga shakeout, runners took their marks.

Get set…and…go!

13.1 miles of stunning views along the waterfront. Thumbs up indeed.

And onto a lovely finish line!

Right after crossing, runners are given cool, damp towels, aromatherapy for their calves, a Lululemon cap, sunglasses, Nuun, a breakfast box (fruit tart, grapes and breakfast sandwich)–oh and of course, these medals.

Picnic tables were set for a sweaty hang-out and massage therapists were at-the-ready to dole out complimentary rub-downs.

Next up? A nap for the runners (obviously) and then an evening post-race bash, complete with yoga, music, food trucks and beer tents.

In case you were wondering, this is what 10,000 yogis looks like.

Youngblood took the stage to lead partiers into the night. Fun fact: lead singer Alexis Young leads a double life as a graphic designer for Lululemon.

As the sun set, Chromeo took the stage.

That’s all, folks!
