I actually listened to my coach (A.K.A. my husband) and started this run with the intention of achieving negative splits. Though I found it really hard to start out slower than I really want to run, the strategy did pay off in the end. I felt strong in the final miles as opposed to the completely wasted feeling I felt in previous week’s long runs.
I guess he was right, but SHHHH! Don’t tell him I said so!
