I’m a firm believer in the old-fashioned art of thank you notes and encouraging cards. I love receiving an unexpected card in the mail, and I have a habit of stocking up on unique notecards when I travel. So, I was excited to learn about a new card company, Banana Blossom Press, founded in Seattle by two female runners. Banana Blossom creates simple black and white cards with messages for runners, with topics ranging from a friend meeting an exercise goal, from 3 miles to a marathon, to welcoming a new member to a running group. And some cards, like the one shown here, are simply funny and supportive.
Cards are sold individually ($3.25) or in packs of 5 ($13) on the web site. They also sell a T-shirts with some of the phrases in their cards.
