Women’s Running is proud to launch our newest blog feature called, Blogger On The Run. Each week, we will showcase a noteworthy blogger who inspires us to keep running.
We’re proud to announce Meghann from Meals and Miles as our first Women’s Running magazine Blogger On The Run. We recently caught up with Meghann (who’s currently training for the Flying Pig Marathon on May 5th)- see what she has to say:
WR: How would you describe yourself?
M: I’m a little kid who refuses to grow up. Short and spunky with a passion for life that runs deep.
WR: How did you begin running?
M: I started running in January 2008 when I was looking for a way to shed the 20 lbs I gained when I started my office job. I was going through a rough patch in life and running was what saved me. It wasn’t long before I ran my first 5K and there was no turning back after that!
WR: What’s your favorite race memory?
M: This is an easy one, 😉 My fiancé proposed at the finish line of the Florida Keys Ragnar Relay race in January 2012. It’s going to be pretty hard to ever beat that one.
WR: How do you reward yourself for accomplishing your training/running goals?
M: I get my toes done, or if it’s a big race I get a massage.
WR: What’s the best running advice you’ve received or given?
M: Save money on a therapist and find a good running buddy in your area. They’re lifesavers! 🙂
