Due to kids, life and work (plus being a little tired!) I took Monday as a rest day. Definitely appreciated it.

The rest of the week unfolded with a standard, monster swim, an hour and a half spin (have converted to the spin bikes, instead of the recumbent bikes at the gym), and a 75 minute run that I switched to a 90 minute pool run. My foot is definitely bothering me. Time to investigate a new course of treatment. Saturday was an easy half-day on the slopes and Sunday was to be a 3-hour run.

I was out for 3-hours, but my run was a disaster! Lots of mistakes made and lessons learned. It was cold, windy and snowing sideways and I did not have on enough layers. Due to logistics, I also ran later in the day and didn’t fuel properly or bring enough with me. Plus, I was running (running being a gross overstatement!) on tired legs. I knew I was tired, but didn’t listen to my body. Spent time walking, pouting and being mad at myself.

But nothing that a hot shower, comfy clothes and comfort food couldn’t fix! Will give it a renewed effort next week.

This doesn't do justice to the gnarly weather, but properly conveys the desolateness of the day
