New research published in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise shows you can stockpile sleep. That means if you front-load on the snooze, when you go into a period of deprivation (hello, race morning!), you will see improved physical performance and cognitive function.
So stay in bed a little longer on those mornings during your taper week to bank some sleep before your next race.
