Ever head out for a run letting your loved one know which route you’re taking and then change your mind mid-workout? It might seem harmless at the time, but a simple switch of plans can lead to your family and friends not knowing where you are, in case of emergency. With the brand new Road ID App, you can select up to five people from your phone’s contact list to alert when you go for a run (and the best part is the app is FREE!).

Upon receiving the text message alert at the start of your run, your loved ones also receive an ecrumb link to track your exact placement on a map in real time. Activate the optional “Stationary Alert” to notify select contacts if you stop moving for more than 5 minutes.

Take your safety one step further with the customizable lock screen where you can provide your name, city and state, up to three emergency contacts, and important medical information (allergies, medical history, blood type).

Bottom line: Safety should always come first. This is one app you don’t want to miss. Check out the Road ID App today (roadie.com/ecrumb)!
