DIY Almond Milk
Serves 4
11/2 cups raw almonds
6 cups water
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Cinnamon to taste
Place almonds in a bowl with 3 cups of water and soak overnight or for at least 8 hours. Drain the almonds and place in a blender with the remaining 3 cups of water, vanilla extract and cinnamon. Blend until smooth. Place a cheesecloth over a pitcher and strain in the mixture. Almond milk will keep in your fridge for up to a week.
