According to the American Institute for Cancer Research, kale has carotenoids that “seem to prevent cancer by acting as antioxidants—that is, scouring potentially dangerous ‘free radicals’ from the body before they can do harm.” So why not do a little spring cleaning with some kale chips? Lots of brands—even big ones like General Mills—are coming out with different variations, but you can easily make your own.
Kale Chips Recipe
Preheat oven to 275 degrees. De-stem and tear into bite-size pieces. Spread out on a baking sheet. Spray with oil and toss. Sprinkle with salt. Bake 10 minutes. Turn pieces over. Bake 10 more minutes, or until crispy.
