This Chia Jam Makes a Savory Toast Spread

Chia Jam

Makes about 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 5 cups berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries, fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon or lime juice, optional

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for around 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Leave some fruit chunks or blend to make it smooth. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks.
