Blue-tiful
Peak season for blueberries in many parts of the country, August is one of the best months to enjoy these fresh, plump treats. You’re probably aware of the benefits of consuming the berries (cancer prevention, heart health and anti-diabetic effects, to name a few), but did you know that the fruit also works wonders applied topically? Naturally occurring antioxidants and phytochemicals help reduce signs of aging and repair broken capillaries.
Try this: Combine mashed blueberries with a few spoonfuls of yogurt. Apply to face as a mask, let sit for 20 minutes, rinse off and pat dry.
