Janji Uganda Deviation Crop, $80

This charitable running company donates 5 percent of the sale of each piece of its apparel to fund clean-water projects in various countries. We love the Uganda Deviation Crop tights in Sipi Teal (colors inspired by the Sipi Falls Valley in Eastern Uganda) for its breathable lower-leg mesh, stretchy fabric and zippered media pocket in the back. We paired it with the Uganda Vista Tank ($54), which has a fun, airy cut on the back and a perfectly loose fit for warm runs.

Enduro Bites Cherry Brownie Bars, $2.99

We can be pretty picky when it comes to protein bar taste, but Enduro Bites almost always seem to get its flavors just right, especially when it comes to its newest Cherry Brownie Bars. The brownie reference is right on point—with 70 percent cocoa mass dark chocolate built into a consistency that the use of figs makes both pleasant and substantial, every bite provides a tasty morsel of pre-run energy that is enjoyable to eat. Each 100-calorie bar is made without the use of gluten, dairy, soy and peanuts, meaning most runners with dietary restrictions can enjoy the bars without pause.

Gatorade Endurance Mango Energy Gel, $30 For 21-Pack

The newest flavor of Gatorade Endurance Energy Gel, mango, has edged out apple pear as my go-to gel flavor. I already loved the thin, not-too-syrupy texture of the Endurance gels, but on top of that, the mango has a refreshingly sweet fruity flavor that is balanced out with a hint of saltiness. As it is naturally flavored, this gel has a pleasantly clean finish. With 80 calories and 20 grams of carbs, it’s my new top pick for long runs in this summer heat.

Osso Good Tomato Basil Soup’r Food, $7.99

Osso Good’s superfood tomato basil soup takes the comfort food you loved as a kid and makes it healthy. Made with chicken bone broth and a host of vegetables and herbs (including tomato, mushrooms, onion, basil, thyme and more), it’s a tasty meal that packs only 160 calories into each single-serving pouch. Editor hack: For a heartier meal, add some whole grain pasta into your bowl of soup for a tasty, filling post-run meal.

Kill Cliff Endure Orange Mist, $29 For 12-Pack

Intended for consumption before and during exercise, this sports drink by Kill Cliff has become one of our favorites for summer hydration. Packed with potassium (480 milligrams) and sodium (120mg) with a strong water base and orange flavoring, this 20-fluid ounce bottle quickly quenches thirst in a smooth, tasty way.
