Lumo Run, $100

Meredith Kessler for Lumo Run

This seemingly simple clip goes on the back of your running shorts and through an app gives you helpful feedback. Lumo Run ($100, lumobodytech.com) scores different aspects of your form—like cadence and hips rotation—and based on the results, it recommends specific exercises to improve. Each score is green, orange or red to show what’s good, borderline or needs improvement, and real-time coaching if you run with your phone can help issues in real time.

Aspen Yoga Mat, $60

Designed and printed in the Pacific Northwest since 2013, Yeti Yoga mats are lovely enough to hang on your wall. However, they function better on the floor, thanks to sticky PVC that hugs the ground as you go through your flow. The company offers designs to match every aesthetic sensibility, but we especially love The Aspen Yoga Mat ($60, yetiyogaco.com) with its sunset hues that make us say ohm.

Buff Pack Run Cap, $32

This colorful example of “less is more” is perfect for long runs when you may want a hat at the beginning but not by the time you finish. Lightweight, wicking and completely packable, the Buff Pack Run Cap ($32, buffusa.com) protects your peepers and skin from UV rays and keeps the sweat out of your face but is completely packable (even the brim) to be shoved in your bra, a pocket or pack when you want to feel the wind in your hair.

Mirai Clinical Hair Brush Liners, $9 for 30

Mirai Clinical Hair Brush Liners ($9 for 30, miraiclinical.com) are like dry shampoo without the need to spray—and minus the hydrocarbons and compressed gases that using aerosol entails. Made from cotton treated with permission extract, this Japanese beauty product easy slips over the bristles of your brush. The liners lift grease and dander from your locks while removing funky smells. Bonus: Use them on your dog to deodorize her fur!

Purequosa Coastal, $22

Ditch the post-workout odor with this organic shower in a bottle. Made with bacteria- and odor-blasting colloidal silver, yucca, aloe vera, eucalyptus and sage essential oil, Purequosa Coastal ($22, purequosa.com) has a mild scent that’s delicate enough for sensitive skin. Even when sprayed liberally, it feels light on the skin with no sticky residue. You can also spritz Purequosa on your yoga mat to keep it fresh!

Lululemon Fast and Free 7/8 Tight, $128

Lululemon makes the run-specific Fast and Free 7/8 Tight ($128, lululemon.com) to give a “naked sensation” and, honestly, it does feel amazingly light and easily moves wherever you do. The high-rise waistband gives good coverage and includes a hidden pocket. The pattern Kindred Alpine Spirit provides the benefit of camouflage on leafy trail runs.
