Skechers’ Go Run Razor 3 Hyper
Skechers’ newest racing shoe looks fast—and it’s not just because of the highlighter yellow midsole. The Go Run Razor 3 Hyper will release in early November for $130 in an initial black-and-yellow colorway, with two additional colorways expected to roll out in early 2019.
The Go Run Razor 3 Hyper’s upper is made of 3D-printed graphics, which bring style to the shoe without adding unnecessary weight. The black mesh that stretches across the toes brings a level of breathability that those looking to feel fast without feeling sweaty will appreciate. Meanwhile, though the traction along the outsole looks to be overly simplistic, it’s actually bolstered by narrow strips of black rubber that will help runners gain purchase on wet or slippery surfaces.
All available sizes will be unisex, so be sure to try before you buy to make sure you’re getting the fit you need. Regardless of size, this is a lightweight racing flat, weighing in at 6.4 oz. for a standard men’s size 9. The shoe’s heel-toe drop is also runner-friendly, measuring in at just 4mm.
The padding in this shoe’s midsole makes it look like it weighs far more than it does. The Go Run Razor 3 Hyper is the first Skechers shoe to feature the brand’s Hyper Burst foam, which Skechers claims to be its “most responsive and lightweight cushioning yet.” The shoe also features the brand’s M-strike technology, which works to decrease runners’ midfoot contact with the ground while running and thus boost runner efficiency.
