Saucony Announces 120th Anniversary Shoe: The Shadow 5000 EVR
Saucony has unveiled the Shadow 5000 EVR, a new shoe released on March 1, 2018 in honor of the brand's 120th anniversary.

120 Years Of Saucony
Saucony has been around since 1898 and has produced running shoes since 1968. In honor of its 120th anniversary, Saucony has announced the release of the Shadow 5000 EVR, available starting today. Featuring the EVERUN technology the brand first introduced in 2016 (and which earned a nod from our editors in our March 2018 issue’s Spring Shoe Review for its use in the Liberty ISO), the Shadow 5000 EVR was inspired by the brand’s Shadow design that was part of the Saucony Originals collection during the 1980s, a shoe that remains popular with runners today. With nods to the brand’s history and its newest cushioning technology, the anniversary shoe is a thoughtful merger of the old and the new.
The Shadow 5000 EVR is available now in two colorways: black with teal and red with green. A “triple white” colorway will be available starting April 15. All shoes are priced at $140. To learn more, visit the Saucony website.
