The popularity of the tapered-ankle jogger has come and gone over the decades, but runners have always understood the appeal of comfy pants that won’t trip us up. Whether you’re lounging post-run or aching to bust out some strides whenever the moment strikes, these two options are worth a look.
Athleta Bliss Jogger
It’s right there in the name: These pants are ridiculously, blissfully silky soft thanks to a fabric called Tencel. Made from eucalyptus trees, Tencel is super breathable and less prone to wrinkling than cotton. The fabric is also quite thin, which means three things: they’re ideal for warmer, breezier days; they pack up tiny, making them perfect travel companions; and you’ll feel naked wearing them. Two deep, solid front pockets can handle a smartphone—and a media pocket hidden inside the right pocket lets you keep small items like change, keys, or lip balm at the ready. Quick Tip: While joggers are always a little roomy, these are extra-generously cut in the hips, so if you’ve got curves, they deserve your attention.
