After months of anticipation, this year’s Foot Locker Cross Country Championships ended in a sprint to the finish line between two athletes representing the Northeast and Midwest divisions. In the end, it was Sydney Masciarelli of Northbridge, Mass., who broke the tape, completing the 5K in 17:00.3. Katelynne Hart of Glen Ellyn, Ill., came in second in 17:01.0, and third-place finisher Abby Vanderkooi clocked in at 17:14.0.
