Sensoria Inc. is teaming up with Athletes for Charity to host a clothing drive at the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon Health and Fitness Expo. To participate, runners and visitors to the expo can bring new clothing items for sport and fitness activities to Sensoria’s booth (#226). Garments must be new, unworn and bearing the original tags and labels.
For an added bonus, Sensoria is offering prizes to those who are among the first to make their donations. The first ten individuals will receive a brand new pair of the Sensoria smart socks with the Sensoria electronic anklet, a $199 value. In addition, the following 100 individuals making donations will receive a new pair of Sensoria Fitness smart socks. All other donors will receive a discount of $30 on the Sensoria Fitness Socks bundle.
Athletes for Charity will be donating the fitness apparel to disadvantaged youth in Haiti through partnerships with the Haitian Sports Foundation and the YMCA d’Haiti.
“At Sensoria we believe that smart garments can have a positive impact and improve lives. The entire team at Sensoria is excited and proud to support Athletes for Charity and its important mission of bringing positive change to disadvantaged youths,” says Sensoria Marketing Manager Paolo Sciarra.
In addition to the clothing drive, runners can visit Sensoria’s booth for a free running assessment that includes an evaluation of foot landing, cadence, and foot contact time on the ground. Participants can also test out Sensoria smart socks paired with their Bluetooth anklet, which gives runners information on distance, pace, and running form.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon Health and Fitness Expo takes place at the San Diego Convention Center on Friday, May 29th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, May 30th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
