A Poem About The Mark That Us Runners Leave On The Trails

Alexi Pappas penned a poem about the mark that is left behind when we set foot on the trails that we have come to know so well.

I’ve been here so

so many times

know your bends

your hills your climbs–

when I intrude

you never mind.

But if you thought

you’d stay the same

I’ve news for you,

you’re going to change.

When I visit

I bring something new

the stamp I leave

all over you

the one from me

and from my shoes.
