Welcome to 360 YOU Spring 2022: Meet Our New Athlete Mentor

For the second quarter of 2022, Kimberly Clark (aka TrackClubBabe), with support from other elite athletes, will guide us through unlocking our potential as runners and women.

Heading out the door? Read this article on the new Outside+ app available now on iOS devices for members! Download the app.

Our first-ever 360 YOU program launched in January with a bold goal: to help Women’s Running members find your power as a women and as runners. Running frees us to challenge the status quo. We can set goals and go for PRs, but there is more beyond the race. Running empowers us and helps us lift up others by honoring who we are.

For our second iteration of this members-only program, we’re proud to announce a new leader and new a focus.

Kimberly Clark is known to the world as TrackClubBabe on Instagram and is our 360 YOU athlete mentor for spring 2022. Her authentic narrative about running has garnered her 130K followers—thanks in part to her actionable advice on running technique and training combined with her no-holds-barred attitude. She’s a running coach, mom, and real estate agent all in one.

Clark’s mission has always been one of positivity, preaching hard work while focusing on micro goals over unrealistic expectations. She ran her first marathon in 6:08, didn’t run for 10 years, then came back with a new mission and motivation. She ended up taking three hours off of her marathon time. How? As Clark says, it was nothing magical: It took hard work, commitment, not putting limits on herself, and surrounding herself with a bigger vision.

Over the next three months, we are going to learn from Clark through her focus on four pillars of advice:

  • Training
  • Nutrition
  • Purpose
  • Life

This season, 360 YOU is going back to basics and asking you to answer the fundamental question as to ‘why’ you run. Clark will share her journey with running, the tools and techniques she used to improve her form, and how self-belief, as well as hard work and consistency, were the keys to her success.

During her three months at 360 YOU, Clark will present insights for runners who want to change their mindset about their own capabilities. She will delve into how the trajectory of life can change our relationship with running and how to navigate the certain highs and lows of training and racing.

More Runners, More Mothers

360 YOU is also celebrating motherhood this spring.

At Women’s Running, we honor the entire journey of the female athlete. For some women, one of these journeys is motherhood. The 360 YOU Spring Edition will also be joined by some high-performing mother runners. Throughout the three months, we’ll get their perspective on what the reality of life with kids and training is really like—more to come on the amazing ladies we’re partnering with.

10K Training: From Beginner to Intermediate/Advanced

(Photo: Courtesy Kimberly Clark)

This quarter, we are focused on training for a 10K, a sweet spot distance that’s a lesson in both building physical endurance and developing the mental strength to stay focused. We tackled the 5K in the winter and hope to encourage you to continue adding to your distance.

  • Beginner Plan: For those looking to race their first 10k or those coming back from time off, the Beginner Plan goal is consistency. The weekly commitment is how you will see progress and success. Each commitment to training days is how you build confidence by making deposits into the endurance bank. The micro-gains from each of these training days will set you up for a prideful 10k run.
  • Advanced: For those seeking a PR or wanting to take on a new approach to the 10K distance, the 360 YOU Intermediate/Advanced plan will mix training, speed work, and strength to help level up your performance over the distance.

Find the plans here.

Join Clark for 360 YOU this spring to learn the importance of technique, consistency, mindset, and recovery. With these tools, you will have all you need to know to own your 10K distance.
