It finally happened: the AJC Peachtree Road Race now has its very own shoe, joining the ranks of the country’s favorite marathons that release race-specific kicks every year.
Mizuno, the official footwear and apparel partner of the Atlanta Track Club, felt that the largest 10K race in the world deserved a custom-made running shoe that accurately captured its spirit and fervor. In the Limited Edition Peachtree Wave Rider 19, Mizuno aimed to bring a vibrant and distinctive look and feel. The colors and the graphics are intended to highlight the city of Atlanta as well as the patriotic pride our country rallies around on July 4 every year.
The shoe is available at Atlanta-based run specialty stores for pre-order only. Those interested in purchasing a pair of these limited edition shoes can call or stop by these stores to place their order.
The Limited Edition shoes will hit Atlanta-area run specialty stores as well as Atlanta-area DICK’S Sporting Goods locations in early June. Runners will also be able to purchase a pair online at MizunoRunning.com. The suggested retail price is $130.
