Let Outside+ Guide You on Your Next Adventure

Gaia GPS ensured I got the weekend I wanted.

Last weekend, I needed to get away; I wanted to get out into the wilderness, and I wanted to feel the sun on my skin after enduring some surprisingly wet and cloudy spring weeks. I had some ideas of where I wanted to go, but more than anything I wanted it to be a) sunny, and b) warm.

So I pulled up my Gaia GPS app (a premium membership perk available to Outside+ members) and started scrolling. I played with some layers (wow, lots of cloud cover over the White River Plateau recently—not great for my weekend fantasy), scrolled around my planned areas, and was pleased that there seemed to be minimal snow at my first-choice camp spot (the 4×4 road I was planning on taking also looked nice and clear).

But then I turned on some weather forecasting, and, yikes. Look at all that rain predicted to come through! No thanks. So I settled on a guaranteed hot and sunlit spot for the weekend: the desert. I hiked and off-roaded and stored up some vitamin D for the dreary Front Range week ahead.

Gaia GPS saved me from wasting major time on what-ifs and bad weather. There’s nothing worse than driving out to a spot, getting settled, then having a weekend stuck in the tent. And the best part is, I didn’t have to figure out how to do any of that fancy technical stuff on my own: Gaia has a trove of helpful how-tos and detailed instructions on making the app work for you.

And Gaia is just one piece of the long list of Outside+ perks. The Outside group of brands is constantly working to bring you premium content, including meal plans, yoga flows, and inspiration for summer adventures. With an Outside+ membership, you get access to all of it—a truly 360 guide for whatever adventure you have planned next.
