This past weekend, runners took to the streets of Philadelphia—including Team WR bloggers Michele Gonzales (you know her as NYC Running Mama) and Kelly Roberts (Run Selfie Repeat)—for the AACR Rock ‘n’ Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon. With temperatures in the low 70s, the partly cloudy skies gave runners a peek at fall weather in the city, and finishers got a glimpse of those iconic “Rocky” stairs. Runners were all smiles along the scenic course, which ends at the Philadelphia Museum of Art—home of the Rocky steps—where they were treated to a concert by alternative band Guster. Kenya’s Augustine Choge won the men’s race in 1:03:25 and Ethiopia’s Buze Diribe led the women in 1:11:50. American Neely Spence Gracey—a favorite runner of ours!—took second in 1:12:08.
