Team USA placed second at this year’s track and field world championships, but they get a gold for pre-race attitude. Runners Francena McCorory, Sanya Richards-Ross, Natasha Hastings and Allyson Felix struck the famous Charlie’s Angel pose leading up to the big 4×400-meter final, where they lost to Jamaica by a sliver of a second. Even though the squad had a plus-one over the original ass-kicking trio, they made it look sassy and awesome.
Allyson Felix ran leg three for the team after winning gold in her first go at the 400m at the world championships. The sprinter is arguably the most decorated American athlete, owning nine(!) world golds in total. She’s the first woman ever to win a world championship in both the 200m, her marquee event, and now the 400m.
