At Women's Running, we take pride in building a community of supportive runners to help girlfriends through the good times and the bad.

Superstorm Sandy ripped through the northeastern section of the United States leaving behind destruction and devastation. While many of us continue to watch the aftermath unfold from afar, some of our running sisters are faced with the overwhelming task of putting their homes back together.

At Women’s Running, we take pride in building a community of supportive runners to help girlfriends through the good times and the bad. That is why we are excited to share a fundraising effort created by Michele from NYC Running Mama (a Women’s Running Blogger on the Run!). You too, can join in to help the victims of Superstorn Sandy by participating in the Race For Recovery 5K/10K virtual race. Simply register to run by making a donation (100% of money goes towards the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund), run the distance and log your miles. It’s that simple! All participants who make at least a $20 donation will be entered to prizes worth over $2,500 (one is a 1-year subscription to Women’s Running magazine!).

So what are you waiting for? Sign up and donate your run today!
