Natalie Dormer, otherwise known as Margaery Tyrell on the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones,” just threw back a sub-4-hour marathon in London over the weekend, crossing the line in 3 hours, 51 minutes, 21 seconds. She was just shy of her PR, which she set at the 2014 London Marathon, proving she’s just as badass running on the roads as she is across our television screens.
However, Dormer said her key reason for running was less about time and more about charitable obligations; she raised funds for children’s charity NSPCC, according to Independent. She was one of 900 runner to do so, collecting raising more than 1 million pounds. See her full interview with Ode here.
Elite runner Sara Hall, who recently ran the Olympic Trials Marathon and did not finish, completed the London Marathon in 2:30:06, a personal best. It was her fourth marathon in 13 months, and she’s poised to hit the track for the Olympic Trials later in July.
