Kenya’s Caroline Rotich battled to a first-place finish at this year’s Boston Marathon.

If you’re wondering which shoes 2015 Boston Marathon champ Caroline Rotich used on April 20, here’s your answer.

Mizuno USA, a global leader in footwear, apparel and accessories, signed a multi-year renewal contract with the current Boston winner from Kenya. A decorated elite runner and first-time Boston winner, Rotich broke the tape in 2:24:55 on Boylston Street, ahead of first American finisher Desiree Linden and four seconds ahead of runner-up Mare Dibaba of Ethiopia. Rotich will be competing for a top spot on the 2015 World Championships team as well as the 2016 Olympic Team for her country. On July 4, Rotich will be representing Mizuno at the AJC Peachtree Road Race, an annual 10K on Independence Day that draws nearly 60,000 runners via a lottery system.

“Caroline has been a strong contributor to the global Mizuno elite racing team for many years, and we see continued success in the coming years,” said Kim Hoey, Division Brand Director for the brand. “Moreover, watching Caroline sprint to the finish line in Boston with a smile on her face is a true testimony to her determination and passion for running. This is what Mizuno is about, the true love of sport.”

Rotich is the latest professional runner to sign with Mizuno as a brand ambassador, joining an impressive elite roster that includes Christo Landry, Serena Burla and Lindsay Flanagan.

“I’m honored to continue my running journey with the Mizuno family,” said Rotich. “For a runner the most important tool besides our character is what we wear on our feet and body. I believe Mizuno provides the best running product available today, and I feel very proud to represent the brand, especially leading up to the 2016 Olympics.”

The partnership has a global reach, with specific USA responsibilities, including participation in a U.S. major—such as the Boston Marathon—and other specific U.S. races.
