Carl Leivers began his career at Emory University where he coached the men’s cross country and distance track runners. During his time there, he earned multiple coach of the year honors and placed two teams in the top-20 at the NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championships. Since leaving collegiate coaching, his focus has been on helping adult runners reach their running goals while still having fun, enjoying their training, and maintaining balance with the rest of their lives.
In addition to coaching, Carl has written for numerous running publications and has been a featured speaker at the Nike Smoky Mtn Running Camp and The Running School. His free time is filled with trying to keep up with his two daughters and badly (but loudly!) playing the guitar.
