Thousands of runners took to the streets in Pasadena, Calif., on January 20 to race the third annual Pasadena Half Marathon and 5K.

Destination: Rose Bowl

Heading into the weekend during which the third annual Pasadena Half Marathon and 5K was to take place, race organizers estimated that more than 10,500 runners would turn up at the start line, many in support of the race’s official charity the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House. Those who registered had the option of participating in the half marathon or 5K distances, both of which featured finish lines inside Rose Bowl Stadium. This year’s race also offered a 400-meter kids’ race option for children between the ages of 3 and 8.
